The Wrong "Attitude" Can Hurt Your Business

If you or your staff have the attitude that "technology is hard to learn"  or "I am not a technical person" your organization is in grave danger.

Using technology is a skill anyone can learn with the right education.  The "I can learn to use technology" attitude needs to be projected from every member of your organization.  Additionally, everyone should feel "technology supports me in being productive and effective".  So if this is not the current situation, how do you get there?

Give your staff the training they need.  Changing staff attitudes about technology can be difficult, to say the least.  Fortunately, a little bit of effort to improve technical education opportunities can get you on the right track.

The right type of education can help you and your organization be tech savvy and successful. Think of how an InfoUpgrade workshop to "Improve Time Management Using MS Outlook" or "Give Your Spreadsheets the 'Wow' Factor" could transform your team.

We've opened a new area of our website to help organizations customize a training plan.  This online tool will help you set your goals,  manage online surveys to dertemine your staff's needs and interests, and receive on-the-spot recommendations to guide you.  Click here to register (it's a totally free service, risk-free and benefit-rich.

Tip Bits

More and more website owners are begining to ask "How do I restrict access to specific sections of my site?" Well, you have several options.  The "no frills" solution would be to establish private directories, assigning usernames and passwords to the individuals you want to give access to.

At the other end of the spectrum, you could develop a Content Management System for your website that would allow you to manage access for hundreds or even thousands of users (i.e. automatically notify your users when their login information has changed, allow or block access based on IP address, etc.).

If this topic is something you've struggled with, regardless if it's a new or existing site, InfoUpgrade can help you map out the right plan for you.  Just give us a call.
